That's awful... That beef is like poison for all of us... I thought of becoming a vegetarian, but that's a very cardinal decision. I don't understand if it's natural for us to eat meat or not. Then I've decided that it's ok, and now I don't think of becoming a vegetarian. But that is really awful what I've seen. I don't want to eat that beef... Maybe when cows are grown in better conditions and they are treated well, it's not that bad, it seems to be more natural for me.

I felt so bad seeing this video...and I realize that we have placed ourselves as humans at the top of the chain, but what if it was us that was hunted and eaten? I woke up thinking that i would become a vegetarian but then I sadly don't think that I am that committed. I can only hope that these facilities will be checked more regularly for humane practice.

That's so sad...
You know my granny who lived in a village used to grow cows, she loved them. A cow always had a name, and we all knew each of them. We grazed them on grassy fields... and that was so naturally as like people were meant to grow cattle... Maybe it's not so bad to eat meat, but now all this becomes so awful. I agree with Barbara that we put ourselves at the top of nature...

I didn't even bother to view the Poor Cows because I stopped eating beef years ago. I once watch a program on TV about how they made veal and it made me sick to my stomach. I stopped eating veal that day and not to much long later I stopped eating beef all together. We don't need to be the meat eaters we are but we are the top of the food chain as is. But there is NEVER any reason to keep animals in small cages just to make sure their meat is tender enough, and with veal its only the boys who are to become your dinner. I saw how the locked up the little boys into small cages that they can only do is sit down or stand up, NO MOVING what so ever! Its so so sad..
If I didn't have to fix meals for my husband I had no problem doing without meat, Its a choice I had to make, and being I live with meat eaters I am stuck, but we don't eat beef in our home.

I have never been able to eat veal. I know too much about the way they prepare the poor calf. Other meats and chicken I have been ok with, but now I am not so sure....

Free range chickens are really good and so are their eggs too.

So you think that being a vegetarian is normal for us? We are not meant to eat meat?
I'm just asking because I can't decide it for myself....

That is so cruel... It maybe normal to eat meat but it's normal to treat animals better...much more better... That's so inhumane!

I don't think we are meant to be vegetarian either. Possibly humans need meat in their diet, way back to cave man days when the men went out hunting. The only difference is that back then, hunting for animals was very primal, in order to survive and feed the family. Now, with all our technology, we could possibly do without meat but we are too used to meat in our diet. Perhaps pyschologically we need to dominate, and by eating the animals we show true domination.
